In early 2020, I designed a tie-dye kit using a technique I read about on Pinterest about 10 years earlier that used snow and Kool-Aid to create a watercolor effect onto textiles. After a bunch of learning and experimenting with friends in the backyard, I developed my own color kits to sell at Craftcation Conference in Ventura, CA where I was going to teach the technique. And then we had a PANDEMIC! Lucky for me, I was able to pop the kits onto my Etsy shop and help everyone at home do something creative in their backyards. For two years, I sat in my garage packing and shipping kits all over the US. It was a wild, fun adventure but not super creative. Now I’m happy to help you source and put together your own color kits using Dharma Trading Company’s fiber reactive dyes - a local company here in the Bay Area!
